Arches National Park and Glamping
This was our first "glamping" experience and not the best overnight accommodations. The tent was amazing, the king-size bed as comfortable as any hotel. But the location was 30 yards from the main highway in and out of Moab. The traffic was noisy all night long. Quite unsurprisingly, they supplied white noise machines for each tent. Worthless.

The bathroom was close, but as close as the bushes outside our tent, at three in the morning. It got cold, down to the high 30s, and we struggled with the wood-burning stove in the tent, but finally got it warm.

The Arches National Park was the saving grace of this expedition. Imagine nonstop breathtaking scenery for two hours. The photos don't do it justice, though. You have to see these magnificent stone monuments in person.
