Day 6 - Santiago & Santa Cruz Islands

Santiago Island has the best snorkeling of the entire expedition. Sharks, octopus, sea turtles, the ocean is alive. Along with some spectacular volcanic landscape and furry sea lions (not seen anywhere else,) this was undoubtedly the high point of the trip. This short video clip is of a formation in the lava called "Darwin's Toilet."

The snorkeling is right off the beach, no more than 50 yards and the sea life is waiting.
